During the virtual technology tour, on Wednesday, April 21, exciting insights into the laboratories of ISFH and at the University of Hanover await you.

We will introduce you to the different research groups and their current topics of research. For this purpose, we have produced a series of videos in which ISFH staff and our colleagues from the university in Hanover introduce you to their workplaces. They will also be available in a live Q&A session to answer your questions during the conference.

During this tour we give a detailed insight into the work of our accredited calibration laboratory CalTeC, which specializes in the measurement of single junction silicon solar cells. Up to now, we have been able to measure cell sizes up to M6 format, but we are currently converting our system so that we will be able to measure cells up to M12 format later this year.

Furthermore, industrial manufacturing processes for the poly-Si on oxide (POLO) technology using screen printing and p-type wafers are shown. This includes processing of POLO-BJ, POLO-IBC and POLO-based bottom cells for tandem devices as well as the process steps along a typical industrial c-Si cell production.

Moreover, we will share with you our research on tandem modules, focusing on the goal of industrialization, from process development and characterization to module integration.

In addition, we will give an insight into our optics laboratories and present our recently installed goniometer. Due to the large setup with a radius of 2.5 m the goniometer allows a high accuracy and a variety of optical measurements.
